All Oak Skirting is currently supplied unfinished but we hope in the near future to add the option of having the Skirting and Architrave prefinished in a range of hardwax oils. Our range of Oak Skirting Boards, Oak Architraves, Oak Door Linings and Oak Mouldings have been reproduced from carefully selected Period Mouldings
All Oak Skirting boards delivered in lengths of 2-3m. While we cannot determine the exact length of skirting boards that will be delivered to you we can ensure that the correct amount that you order will be delivered.
All our Oak Skirting mouldings are generally in stock and there are a range of delivery options depending on how much time you have, deliveries are made by our normal couriers who will deliver to either building sites, businesses or home delivery. In any case they will always call first to make sure you are in before they load their vans.
Prices quotes for Skirting boards are per linear meter and always include VAT.
All our Skirting and Architrave is made exclusively with Solid European Oak and will match perfectly for colour and wood grade with our Oak Doors.
The purpose of Skirting boards is to cover the joint between the wall surface and the floor. It covers the uneven edge as flooring meets the wall. As a secondary function, solid oak skirting protects the wall from kicks and abrasion and sometimes prevents furniture from being pushed right against the wall, and it can serve as a decorative molding.
The main advantage of using Solid Oak Skirting boards is that because of Oaks inherent hardness it will easily take knocks and wear without damaging, denting or needing repainting. |
