Our internal ledge and brace door is made from 100% solid rustic grade oak, the character grade solid oak gives each of these ledge and brace oak doors a unique look with its random deep brown knots and colour variations in the solid wood which when oiled make these characteristics stand out.

Due to the characteristics of rustic solid oak, the number of vertical planks in each door may vary.

This 40mm thick door is a demonstration of quality craftsmanship and sophistication. Not only does it feel sturdy when touched, its unique 20mm thick vertical panels are aesthetically pleasing, too. The whole solid oak internal door is put together by hand using the screw and plug method giving the ledge and braces a distinctive look.

Crafted from PEFC Certified Character grade oak; the doors feature all the antique features you’d normally associate with the style. It’s handmade with large random width vertical planks, 3 large horizontal ledges, tongue and groove construction and a V-Groove profile to prevent warping of the door over time.

These solid oak internal doors are supplied either untreated so that you can choose your favourite Oil or Wax Finish or supplied fully prepared in our stunning classic dark oak finish. However the Antique Reproduction doors are supplied 'Aged', this again adds to the overall look and feel of the design. 4 Ledge Solid Oak Barn Door

A new version of a classic style, this barn door features four horizontal ledges rather than the usual three. It gives a more modern feel to these internal oak doors, whilst still working well in barn conversions and country cottages as well as more contemporary homes.

Made from solid Grade-A oak from sustainable sources the ledges are screwed and plugged onto the vertical boards. Square plugs are used and the ledges feature a chamferred edge and run the entire width of the door.

By choosing sustainable oak as the wood we have ensured that the doors look their very best with grain patterns and visible knots. Tongue and groove construction is used with a decorative V-Groove on the front and a microbevel on the back.

All doors are 44mm thick, which comprises of the main door being 22mm and the ledges being 22mm and are an ideal door to couple our traditional T Hinges with. The distance between the top / bottom of the door and above / below the ledge is approximately 7".

All of our oak internal doors are supplied untreated so that you can choose your favourite Oil or Wax Finish.

This product is available unfinished and sanded or alternatively you can choose for it to be pre-finished before delivery. Our in-house finishing service uses the same high-quality oils sold on our site. They offer an enhanced wood finish as well as excellent levels of protection.

This Ledge with Optional Braces Solid Oak Door is a recent arrival into our country style door range and we love it. Hand crafted, this solid and striking door oozes class and quality. Although traditional in its styling and well suited to a cottage, this door is extremely versatile and could be easily incorporated within a modern property as well.

This product is similar to other styles but what really sets it apart is the added benefit of reversible braces if required. These braces will allow you to use the same style of door throughout your home whilst being able to add variation between your internal rooms; you can add the braces to some doors and leave the braces off others. This of course dependant on the look you’re hoping to achieve in each room.

The ledges are trimmed perfectly to fit snuggly across the entire width of the door. They’re attached to the vertical boards with a traditional and rustic looking plug, and customers have continually expressed how amazing these are as a finishing touch. Only the finest timber is selected and the intricate details of the wood can be seen in the varying colours, graining and visible knots. 

This product is available unfinished and sanded or alternatively you can choose for it to be pre-finished before delivery. Our in-house finishing service uses the same high-quality oils sold on our site. They offer an enhanced wood finish as well as excellent levels of protection.

For your doors to be pre-treated, simply choose your finish before adding them to the basket.
