Victorian 4 Flat Panel Solid Oak Door
product code: 100651- More Info
- Solid Flat Panel Victorian Internal Door
These Victorian style doors are a traditional design built to our usual high standards. They have four panels that are sanded flat, unlike the other four panel doors which feature raised panels.
The flat 4 Panel Victorian Doors are hand assembled from solid oak, using tried and trusted construction methods. A popular choice, they are a versatile style that work just as well in contemporary homes as they do in traditional period properites and country cottages.
The rich grain and beauty of solid oak makes cheaper, veneered doors pale in comparison.
As with all of our solid oak doors, they are supplied sanded but unfinished so you can personalise these doors in a finish of your choosing. Photos shown are finished with Treatex clear matt hardwax oil but light, medium and dark oak variations are also available.
If you're looking to add light to areas of your property then using a half glazed version of the flat 4 panel door will work wonders. For a ready-made half glazed version please see the half glazed style where the top 2 panels have already been removed for you.
Similar Fire Doors are also available allowing you to combine solid oak doors with matching fire doors for those areas in the home where regulations may require an FD30 rated door (please note that the fire doors feature raised and not flat panels).
If you also need to replace existing fixtures and fittings around the doors then we can also supply solid oak door linings, architrave setsand skirting boards in a variety of profiles that will complement the doors beautifully and add the perfect finishing touches to your interior.
This product is available unfinished and sanded or alternatively you can choose for it to be pre-finished before delivery. Our in-house finishing service uses the same high-quality oils sold on our site. They offer an enhanced wood finish as well as excellent levels of protection.
For your doors to be pre-treated, simply choose your finish before adding them to the basket.
Please note that all of our doors are initially unfinished (unless otherwise stated) allowing you to choose a finish to your liking, the doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike, in addition to the natural qualities of the wood this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. All hinges, handles, levers and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately. We cannot guarantee an exact match to images used across our door product imagery for the reasons stated above.

Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.
Wooden Product Finishing
Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.
Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

Rating - Good quality wood.
- Of course you can get even heavier and more denser and of greater width doors but you would have to pay considerably more, hence, this works for a bedroom or a second study room. Good packaging. Use three solid door-hinges. It will host the best of door locks too.

- I ordered 4 of these doors + a half glazed flat-panel about a month ago. They've already exceeded my expectations: extremely high quality, 100% true & a cinch to wax-finish. Everyone who's seen them, including the carpenter who hung them, has remarked on how well-made they are & how beautiful they look. Great price and a really helpful, friendly delivery guy too. Highly recommended.
