Product Information
Treatex Hardwax Oil - Clear MattOur Treatex Hardwax Oil is our recommendation and preferred method in finishing our internal oak doors. We have spent a significant amount of time testing a variety of oils and have found that this particular product offers the best finish by far; it leaves a clear finish so you can still identify the natural characteristics of the wood, such as the colour and graining.
The Treatex range has a much higher wax content than most others on the market; ensuring that the grain is suitably filled and the finish is left smooth and consistent. Another benefit of the oil is that it slows the moisture transfer between the wood and the atmosphere, ensuring the quality of the wood stands the test of time.
Oak furnishings and fixtures can give your interior a real sense of quality and are often vital in allowing you to achieve the overall design you’d like. It’s therefore important that they’re looked after and enhanced in any way they can, this product allows you to do just that and is suitable for all types of internal joinery such as flooring, worktops, stairs, doors and furniture.

Standard deliveries are 1-3 days from dispatch you should receive a notification from the courier prior to delivery.
On the rare occasion that your package arrives with signs of loss or damage, we strongly recommend opening it while the driver is still present. Please immediately report your findings to the driver and request that they raise a report, including photos and a detailed description of the damage.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check for any damages and report them to us within a 24-hour period.
All delivery times are based on orders being placed before 9am and the lead times are from when your order has been dispatched, not placed.
As unforeseen circumstances can, on rare occasions, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Nice product.Good finish. The drying time guidelines were laughable, even with good ventilation and the heating on. 24 hours between coats was needed. Definitely requires a sand between coats. Needs three coats not two. After the thinners have evaporated, it smells amazing. -
