Product InformationFrench Door Kit Solid Oak
Our Solid Oak French Door Kit allows you to create the ever popular French door design within your own home; you can easily assemble the kit into the stunning and recognisable design in around 10 minutes per door. Our French door kits are made with 100% oak and you can immediately see the natural beauty contained within the wood when it’s fully assembled.
Strong, durable and stunning to look at, French doors create a really modern and sophisticated look to any interior room. The kit is handmade with only the finest timber in a way that makes it easy to fit and install, there is simply no veneer involved in the process either, so you won’t have to worry about any unwanted peeling or wear and tear associated with it over time.
Glazing isn’t actually supplied with the kit but will be required, based on the look you’re trying to achieve; you may want to choose bevelled glass, clear glass or even an oak panel in the middle of the door.

Wooden Product Finishing
Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.
Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.
Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.
This door must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges. This is due to the weight of the product, which can be attributed to the high grade materials used in the construction of the door. Choosing to ignore this requirement will void your warranty.
Because it’s important that our products get to you in perfect condition and on time, we only work with trusted, reliable delivery companies who have an excellent reputation. To allow you to spend where it matters, the cheapest available delivery option will automatically be selected at the checkout stage. Don’t forget that orders over £750 will qualify for free shipping!

For Standard deliveries, you will receive contact from the courier prior to delivery. For Express deliveries, you will not receive contact from the courier, with the aim to avoid delays in the Express delivery.
If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.
Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.
All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.
As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.
Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date. Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery. We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload. Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy. 65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.

Chrispy Says:Not necessarily 10 minute jobGreat way to get quality door at reasonable price. 10 minute to assemble is a joke. Maybe if it is the size you want but as I had to cut down,it has taken me 5 hours. That excludes the time to go to professional joinery man to do the cutting as it requires very accurate and clean cutting to get a proper job.
Detailed instructions are not necessary but guidance and tips would have saved time and mistakes.
All I have to do now is fit and finish them then sit back and look at a good job well done!
