product code: 100316- More Info
- External Solid Oak Door Frame with Aquamac Seal
Our External Door Frame is crafted using laminated sections of solid oak; this ensures the overall quality of the product matches the standards we set with our oak doors. The finishing touches of your home are vital in ensuring your initial vision comes to fruition. The exterior design of your home is often as important as the interior; it’s often on view for everybody to see, so we understand the importance in ensuring it matches the quality of the inside of your home.
This external door frame not only enhances the look of your external doors but the Aquamac Seal that’s included also reduces the risk of any major draughts. The frame is hand crafted from 100% solid oak, incorporating many of the characteristics you’d expect to see on our oak doors, such as the graining and subtle variety of colours. This ensures that when paired with our external doors, they create a complete and consistent look.
Please note this product does not include the weather strip for the bottom sill

Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.
External Wooden Product Finishing
Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished. As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. We recommend that quality specialist external treatment such as Impranol Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and that our external doors are protected from direct sunlight and rain by either a canopy or porch. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it. Please follow the guide here for finishing your external door, not doing this will void your warranty. By doing so you will also comply with our terms and conditions.
Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using Impranol Oils is that it is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.
