Victorian 4 Flat Panel Half Glazed Solid Oak Door - 1981 x 610 x 35mm

This Victorian 4 Flat Panel Half Glazed Solid Oak Door incorporates a traditional design that is hand made to our exacting high standards. Victorian in style these doors have distinct panels that contribute the striking style of the door. The panels themselves are sanded flat which is unlike other four panel doors which tend to be raised. This ensures that the design stands out even further and is sure to be a talking point for anyone who sees it.

One of the main positives relating to the design is the sheer amount of light that you can benefit from; this half glazed version will ensure that any internal space needing more light is sure to get it. Crafted from 100% oak, with only the finest timber selected, you can add real quality to your interior space. The wood boasts an exceptional and eye-catching array of natural patterns within the grain and the warming colours will definitely add character to your home.

Whilst the design is intricate and beautiful to look at, the physical feel of the door boasts durability and sturdiness, this as a result of the tried and trusted construction methods used. This versatile product works exceptionally well in contemporary homes as well as traditional period properties and country cottages.

Glazing is not supplied so once you have your door, please take your exact measurements and speak to your local glazier so that you can finalise the look you’re trying to achieve.

This product is available unfinished and sanded.

Glazing not included.

Please note that all of our doors are initially unfinished (unless otherwise stated) allowing you to choose a finish to your liking, the doors displayed on our website vary in appearance due to the different finishes being used by ourselves and customers alike, in addition to the natural qualities of the wood this will also contribute to the door’s appearance. All hinges, handles, levers and door accessories are for illustration purposes only and sold separately. We cannot guarantee an exact match to images used across our door product imagery for the reasons stated above.

Maintenance

Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.

Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.
