Pay4Later will authorise us (UK Oak Doors) to process your order. We will then update your order confirm everything is going ahead and you will receive notification via email and in your account history. Please be aware this is a manual process and can only be updated during working hours so don't worry if you don't receive an update over the weekend or at 3am!I made an application but it was declined, why?
Unfortunately we are not given the reason why a customer is declined for credit. The authorisation process is carried out by the finance company and UK Oak Doors and Pay4Later has no part in the decision. The decline message is sent to us with no explanation or justification. The reason for a decline is often that incorrect information has been entered in the credit application form. Please ensure you carefully enter all required information.
Finally if you receive a declined decision you will not be able to make another application for another 60 days. Please do not make multiple applications with the same details if you have already received a declined decision. What happens if I do not pay the deposit
The order is not complete so we will not acknowledge one until the deposit is paid. If after 3 days the deposit remains unpaid then we will cancel the application and you will be reported which will affect your credit rating.Who are Pay4Later?
Pay4Later is an online finance gateway that links retailers and finance companies. Pay4Later is licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority (Consumer Credit Licence: 0616240). For more information please visit www.pay4later.comTips for a successful application
If you make an application and it gets declined then you will not be able to make another application for another 60 days as it will automatically be pre declined so it is important that your application is completed as accurately and efficiently as possible. Make sure your details you fill in are correct - If you don’t then the finance company will almost certainly decline your application - if you make a false application then the finance company is unlikely to trust you to make your payments if you falsely fill in an application. One of the biggest reasons you will be declined is imputing the wrong address - Normally because its been inputted wrong or you use another address that is NOT your billing address
Ensure your meet the criteria listed at the top of this page.
A decision is affected by how much you borrow and how long you choose to make the payments. 12 month applications are far more likely to be accepted than say a 48 month application. Applications with a higher deposit amount are again much more likely to be accepted. Our advice would be to put down the largest deposit possible and choose the shortest finance plan possible.
Do not make multiple applications. If you receive a referred decision then don’t go making other applications as you will get the same decision and the finance company will simply decline all referred applications if there is more than one.
