More Info

Intumescent fires seals are designed to expand in the event of a fire to seal off the gap between the door and the door frame. For maximum effectiveness they need to be rebated into the door or door frame. There are 3 types of seal available all of which are FD30 rated (fire rated 30 minutes):

Fire Only – These are a standard form of intumescent strip

Fire and Smoke – Has a nylon pile to stop smoke as well as the standard intumescent strip

Dual Bladed -  These differ from the smoke seals by having black twin rubber blades in place of the nylon brush that not only stops smoke but draughts as well.

All of these come in either white or brown, in a single strip measuring 2100 x 20 x 4mm which to seal a standard sized fire door you will need approximately 5 metres per door.

If you have chosen additional options for your items such as prefinishing, please allow up to an additional 10 working days for delivery. This will depend on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.

Generally delivery is a weekday service. Couriers may however operate on weekends during busy periods. As such, we are unable to offer weekend deliveries, but this may be offered by the courier if they call to arrange your delivery date and time. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.

All delivery times given are based on orders being placed before 12-midday and the lead times are from once your order has been dispatched, not placed.

As unforeseen circumstances can, on the rare occasion, cause delivery issues, we do not recommend booking any tradesmen until your items have been delivered.

Flooring Delivery

Delivery is typically 7-10 days from order date.  Your flooring will normally come on a pallet and be shipped using a kerbside delivery.  We will call you before delivery to agree a date that suits as someone will need to be available to help offload.  Please remember that our solid oak flooring is particularly thick and therefore very heavy.  65m2 will weigh approximately 1 tonne/1000kg.
