- Antique Oak Reproduction Cottage Door
If you’re looking to add a rustic look and feel to the personality of your house, cottage or barn then this Antique Reproduction Solid Oak Door is truly ideal. These doors are perfectly suited to period or listed properties, particularly when you’re looking to add the all-important finishing touches. The fine details and intricate splendor of this product can make all the difference in transforming the interior of any room.
The product is immediately noticeable and demands attention, its powerful and distinctive features ensures it really stands out. The deep lying knots and shakes only enhance the character of the door. Shakes occur in the growing tree and show as cracks in the wood, often between the growth rings and they perfectly showcase the natural beauty within the oak. The knots and shakes themselves are deliberately left open to be filled in during the final finish using wax for a truly authentic look.
Crafted from PEFC Certified oak; the doors feature all the antique features you’d normally associate with the style. It’s handmade with large random width vertical planks, 3 large horizontal ledges, tongue and groove construction and a V-Groove profile to prevent warping of the door over time.
All of our solid oak internal doors are supplied untreated so that you can choose your favourite Oil or Wax Finish. However the Antique Reproduction doors are supplied 'Aged' but unfinished, this again adds to the overall look and feel of the design. For the best result we advise to stain in a dark oil to bring out the true character of this beautiful door.

Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.
Wooden Product Finishing
Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.
Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

- Excellent quality beautiful doors .
- Wanted Solid oak doors for many years , needed to replace flimsy door and just fell in love with the triple panel antique doors. Nervous about buying on line unseen however thrilled when arrived.
Rating - . These doors are a perfect match for the originals
- I was a bit daunted about staining & waxing the doors, the Treatex was easy to apply & gave the desired affect. People seeing the doors assume they are the originals which is more than we could have hoped for. We looked at many braced doors but none compared to these for quality or authenticity.
Rating - My favourite piece of the renovation
- In a council flat in central London no less, they work just fine. There's no need at all to stain them dark; I used Osmo oil, mostly matt clear, with a little graphite mixed in to darken the grain. They look phenomenal.

- The quality of the wood, construction of the doors were fantastic. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anybody. Excellent

- Excellent quality. Solid, heavy, nice array of knots, imperfections and grain pattern in the wood. No splits or shakes. A great character door. I sort of considered the price when I ordered them but when they arrived the cost was completely overshadowed by the quality

- This door is now our bathroom door and is excellent. The sanded finish is good enough for applying the Treatex Dark Oil, and with the imperfections in the wood and the not-so-finely-sanded areas the door has that "aged" look we were after. The Treatex Dark Oil really brings out the grain pattern in the oak and the Treatex Clear Matt Hardwax Oil finishes it off a treat!

- I bought 6 of these doors for a 16th century house and was delighted. It wasn't quick but excellent quality.
Rating - These doors look fantastic if you want the period look - January 10
- Lots of knots, shakes and no flat, planed surfaces. Not one visitor to our new house has realised they are new doors. They look really old if stained and waxed as in the photo but we also like them unfinished for a stripped look.
Rating - Lovely random width planks.
- Up to 490mm wide on the doors I bought. Good distressed finish so that my doors now look like they have been there since the house was built. No good for a new house but just the ticket if you are adding character to a period home and good value too.

- The oak is nicely distressed and really looks the part in our 17th century house. The door furniture was of equally good quality and works well on the door. Your delivery service was superb with the driver being most helpful. I fully intend to purchase more of these doors in the coming months, as my renovation project continues. Many thanks, John Price

- The aged look is great and it looks very authentic in situ. The hard wax oil finish applied as recommended gave a lovely mature wood finish. Delivery was prompt and the door was well wrapped. The courier was happy to wait while I checked the door over thoroughly.
