Treatex Hardwax Oil - Light Oak 1l.

After a significant amount of time testing different Oils, waxes and Hardwax oils we are pleased to recommend Treatex Hardwax Oilas our prefered method of finishing for our Oak Doors, the reason for this is simple, the finish is the best by far. As the treatex range has a haigher wax content than most on the market the wax will fill up the grain on the door providing a very smooth finish and at the same time helping to slow moisture transfer between wood and the atmosphere.

Treatex Hardwax Oil preserved and enhances the appeance of all types of internal joinery, manufactured on a base of natural and sustainable raw materials including: linseed oil, sunflower oil, beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax.

Being a mix of Oil and Wax, the oil will soak into the wood enhancing the grain, the wax will sit on the surface and fill the grain, ensuring a smooth finish.

Application

Apply with a brush or roller

Ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.

Apply the 1st coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours ensuring good ventilation.

Apply the 2nd coat as you did the first - this coat will flow much easier than the first. Again allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate well.

When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine to enhance the sheen.

Useage

1 litre is enough to do oil 3 doors with 2 layers.
