Solid Oak Skirting Board with Ogee Profile

Our Ogee Solid Oak Skirting boards are supplied in the same wood species and quality as our oak doors are, allowing you to create a consistent look throughout your interior rooms. Consistency is always vital when trying to achieve an overall particular style and the fine details are often the most important in tying everything together.

Our skirting boards are made from 100% solid oak and feature a reversible profile, this allows you hide cables with ease and maintain a clean and minimal design. The boards complement an array of other oak furnishings and can make all the difference in bringing the final pieces of a room together.

It’s important to remember that when buying skirting boards, like flooring, you should look to buy at least an extra 10%. This is to allow for any miscuts or short lengths you may end up with during the installation process.  This product is supplied in 3 metre lengths so you also need to ensure the number you order is divisible by 3. It’s also essential to note that all of our skirting is dual-profiled; and the Ogee design features the Chamfer profile on the reverse.

Maintenance

Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.

Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

The product was excellent.
The quality of the wood was very good. We did have a couple of problems with one or two pieces but it was replaced very quickly by the supplier.

Good product, rubbish packaging
Brilliant product, due to item being 3m length & weight of product, packaging needs to be better, I had 4 lengths that were cracked possibly due to courier dropping on end of box due to weight, this equated to money wasting to do repair. Otherwise product is good.
