As our budget was extremely limited, we chose the value pack to help keep the price of our doors under control. It's a perfectly acceptable ironmongery set, and looks good once fitted. It all needed cleaning before use as on handling a lot of black gunk came off it onto our hands and the wood.
I was hesitant at buying a 'value pack' as I wanted to make sure the hinges and latch were nice quality and didn't look as if they belonged on a garden shed. On the other hand I liked the price and the convenience of just being able to add on the full 'kit' on the way to the checkout without lots of extra searching. I needn't have worried about the quality - first class and easily sturdy enough to take the very solid and heavy oak door.
