Our frame and ledge doors – not to be confused with framed ledged and braced doors – are made in the Suffolk-style. This style suits many different interiors, giving a sharp and classic look to any room. Every Suffolk door is made of 100% solid oak, giving you the benefit of a high quality and generally long lasting natural wood (for more information on what we mean by solid oak please have a look at this article on the blog). And, because we know you care about sustainability, we only source the wood for your doors from managed forests for PEFC certified oak.
Frame and Ledge Wooden Doors
Suffolk doors have a distinctive look – a plain front, with a frame and single ledge clearly visible from the back. This feature makes it easy to create a half glazed door – giving you a bright and airy room. Whether you would prefer a solid oak or half glazed door, you can buy a variety of widths from us – going from a small 2’ to a wider 3’ door. As with all our internal doors, they are 6’6” high to fit a standard door frame.
