French doors are also known by the name of Pattern 10 Oak Doors. The majority of Pattern 10 wooden doors or oak French doors are made with either oak veneer or engineered oak.
We do stock a range of engineered oak French doors but we also stock a 100% solid oak option.
Solid oak doors are far better placed to deal with wear and tear such as dog scratches, since there simply is no veneer to start peeling off. We offer a variety of products for either internal or external use.
We are pleased to announce our new Oak Internal French Door kit. The door is supplied in unfinished and in kit form (flat pack) and will need assembly which will take approximately 10 minutes per door. Glazing profiles are supplied, per cut at 45 deg. but may need a small amount of sanding at the ends to make them fit as they are deliberately made approximately 2-3mm longer than required to allow the extra to be sanded on site for the perfect finish.
Our French doors are supplied in both kit form and ready made and glazed.
Final finishing can be done with hardwax oils, we particularly recommend Treatex Hardwax oils for all our Oak Doors due to its high moisture content helping to prevent moisture transfer. (Priced per door).
