Product Information

External Traditional Diamond Solid Oak Door

Our External Traditional Diamond Solid Oak Door is perfect if you're looking to give your home a unique and stylish exterior appearance. External doors can reflect the character and personality you want your home to display throughout, including the interior, so we understand how important it is to choose the right one. This traditional door incorporates vertical sections that are broken up perfectly by a striking and distinctive diamond-shaped panel. This traditional oak door comes without a glazing panel, so you can choose a glazing panel to match your own style making this door truly unique. If you're looking to maximise the amount of natural light that can shine through into the interior of your home, then a standard glass panel may be your preference. Alternatively, you may look to maintain some privacy and therefore choosing obscured glass would be more suited, particularly if you're looking to buy this product as a front door.

Handcrafted from 100% oak, the door perfectly highlights the natural beauty of the wood. Each individual panel appears differently from the other, with stunning graining and an array of subtle colours. Elegant and full of character, this door features exceptional detail and is sure to be a talking point for those who view it. When you're looking to invest in solid oak furniture, we understand that whilst you are looking for something that is functional, durable and solid, you also want something that displays your individuality and character. This door will allow you to do just that.

Please follow these treatment and maintenance instructions to preserve the beauty and strength of the wood.

External Doors are supplied unfinished. You will need to use a treatment suitable for external doors; we recommend the Impranol range for External doors; Click here For Impranol

We also supply an Oak Weatherbar to match the door, which will be required should the door be "open to the elements". Sold separately as not everyone will need one...ie if your door is situated within an enclosed porch. Click Here For Oak Weatherbars.

Our external doors must be treated before being hung, retreated every six months and kept dry at all times through the use of a canopy or similar. For full guidelines, please visit our External Door Protection Page.

Glazing not included.

Maintenance

Internal Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre finished / treated door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as Treatex or Osmo Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

External Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished. As oak is a natural product, sanding, polishing and colouring maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. We recommend that quality specialist external treatment such as Impranol Oils are used to seal and protect the goods and that our external doors are protected from direct sunlight and rain by either a canopy or porch. All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it. Please follow the guide here for finishing your external door, not doing this will void your warranty. By doing so you will also comply with our terms and conditions.

Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc.

Installation

This door must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges. This is due to the weight of the product, which can be attributed to the high grade materials used in the construction of the door. Choosing to ignore this requirement will void your warranty.
