Solid Oak Doors are unique in appearance and character and add a fantastic finishing touch to your home. We stock a wide range of Solid Oak Doors and we believe you will find one to suit your home albeit modern, contemporary or period property. Solid Oak Doors are unbeatable in their class and style when it comes to doors, especially when made from European Oak as our solid Oak doors are. Solid Oak Doors are timeless in nature and lifespan and will "grow old gracefully" with your home. Solid Oak Internal Doors in ths category are all 914mm, 3' 0" 36 inch doors. All our doors have an extra width on the sides to allow our customers to cut the doors to their specific size. Each size listed/purchased has enough width on the edge of the doors to cut to the next size smaller. For example a 2'9" door may comfortably be cut down to 2'6" size.

Engineered Oak Doors are also now included in this category and these also may be cut down but not by as much as Solid Oak Doors, Engineered Oak doors use an engineered hardwood frame (often Oak) covered with an Oak Veneer. Engineered Doors are said to offer better stability from warping and bending, this can be true but is by no means a definitive answer as often other problems can arise with engineered doors such irreparable damage to the veneer. Engineered Oak compared to Solid Oak does not have the character and class of Solid Oak Doors. Engineered Oak is often found to be lacking in character and does not "feel" like solid wood.

Whether you choose Engineered or Solid Oak is entirely your choice, and very often depends on the character of your home.
